Bungie and Activision held an event, and we learned a few details about the upcoming Destiny sequel, which will also be on the PC.
Destiny 2 will have timed exclusive content on the PlayStation 4, while the PC version will utilize Blizzard’s Battle.net system (it’s not called as such recently) – as we’re talking about Activision Blizzard, this decision makes sense.
„The broadcast was streamed globally in four languages and emphasized that the game will offer a fresh start to all players with no previous knowledge or background needed. Destiny 2’s story allows the player to enjoy a heroic, cinematic journey, either solo or with friends. A key announcement during the live stream was a new feature called, “Guided Games,” that makes it easy for all players to experience the most challenging and rewarding activities the game has to offer. This new feature allows solo players to find and play with other players to enjoy Destiny 2 and earn new in-game rewards like weapons, and armor. Also available for attendees was “Countdown,” an all-new competitive multiplayer mode as well as a three-player cooperative activity on a new map called “Inverted Spire,”” the press release says.
The game is likely going to be one of the stars of the autumn, and seeing how September 8 has a simultaneous release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, but possibly not for the PC (which port will be handled by Vicarious Visions), it’s understandable why Activision Blizzard has high hopes for Destiny 2. Seeing the cinematic trailer, we can see why they have good vibes about it. The PlayStation 4 Pro version will run on 4K, but at 30 FPS, due to the CPU limitations.
