The closed beta is evolving.
In case you have the chance to try Polyphony Digital’s game in its closed beta for, you may have experienced a few changes in Gran Turismo Sport after installing the latest patch. Here are the patch notes:
- Game physics have been updated
- Force Feedback intensity has been adjusted.
- Various sound sources have been updated.
- Online experience has been improved.
- Rolling starts now available in [Daily Races].
- The algorithm behind the calculation of the Sportsmanship Rating has been changed.
- It is now possible to assign specific buttons to hazard lights and indicators.
- The braking indicator can now be switched ON/OFF under [Driving Options].
- Saved game data files are now stored online.
- Fixed certain bugs
There are a few comparison videos below that shows the differences between the chase camera angle pre- and post-patch, as well as the updated exhaust sounds. Gran Turismo Sport, a PlayStation 4-exclusive title with PlayStation VR-support, still has no release date, but it should be available in 2017… unless it does another Gran Turismo 5, which got delayed multiple times on PS3.
