The PlayStation VR and the PlayStation 4 Pro both received some sales information.
Shawn Layden told Time that they don’t consider the PlayStation VR a fad, and instead, they look at it as a medium that can be used for more than just gaming. He also revealed that over a million virtual reality headsets were sold. Jim Ryan added that every fifth sold PlayStation 4 is the PS4 Pro variant, which is way higher than their expectations. There’s a slight problem with this information, though: neither of the Sony bigwigs have revealed a PlayStation 4 Pro sales figure worldwide. (In Japan, thanks to Media Create, the weekly sales information is always published.)
Ryan also said that in the European region, the PlayStation 4 outsells the Xbox One 3:1, and the ratio in the United States is „just” 2:1.
Perhaps Sony isn’t so proud of its PlayStation 4 Pro sales performance yet to confirm the amount of sold consoles?
