Formerly, we knew this project as Dylan.
During EA Play (which was, frankly, mostly garbage, to say the least), BioWare’s new IP was also shown in the form of a short teaser, with the promise that during Microsoft’s press conference, more information will be revealed.
The project was initially led by Casey Hudson, the executive producer of Mass Effect. He started work on it in 2012, right after wrapping up Mass Effect 3 – he left BioWare in 2014, but the team kept working on Anthem. (Possibly, the project is co-developed between BioWare Austin and Edmonton, as the Montreal-based crew was working on Mass Effect: Andromeda.) In Anthem, you will „explore a landscape of primeval beauty, confront the dangers you find, and grow in power with every step.” (Doom?)
Somehow, we felt like it’s Titanfall and Iron Man mixed into one. Anthem (https://www.ea.com/games/anthem) is out in the fiscal year of 2018 (between April 2018 and March 2019), and it’s Microsoft’s turn to show the game properly to the audience. Anthem is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, according to BioWare’s marketing director, who confirmed it on the NeoGAF forums.
…the game may be out during the autumn of 2018, though, according to Anthem’s YouTube channel.
