PlatinumGames Would (Also) Work On A New NieR Game

The players liked it; the developers enjoyed making it – why not continue the adventures?

Famitsu published an interview (which was translated by WCCFTech), which had Yoko Taro (director), Yosuke Saito (producer), Takahisa Taura (designer), Keiichi Okabe (composer), and Akihiko Yoshida (character designer), and they all explained how they would work on a new NieR.

Taro previously said that he would make a NieR remake, but it depends on Square Enix. Saito would also work on that game if Taro is involved, and they are allowed to include new things in it – however, it all depends on fans. Taura, as a PlatinumGames employee, expressed that he is also motivated, but Yoshida cooled the situation down a bit. He said that due to the great work made in the original NieR, he had trouble making new characters for Automata, but he managed to hit the target, too.

Square Enix should consider the team’s words.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title.
