Death Stranding: A Release Date Announcement In 2018?

Hideo Kojima‘s game has no release date… yet.

Since the E3 2016 reveal, Kojima Productions only showed cutscenes and no gameplay of Death Stranding. Therefore, it’s not surprising to see that the first post-Konami Kojima game doesn’t have a fully positive opinion on the Internet. However, the Japanese genius might be fooling us.

He told the following to the Dengeki PlayStation magazine: „Development on Death Stranding is going well enough that SIE told us, ‘We have never before seen a game being created at such a fast pace.’ We are planning an announcement that will further surprise everyone in 2018.”

He might have mentioned the development pace for a reason. He might be preparing the announcement for E3 2018 – Sony intentionally toned down the PlayStation Experience this year for that event. We may even see Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro on stage.
