CD Projekt News: Cyberpunk 2077 And The Witcher 3 HD 5.0 Graphical Mod [VIDEO]

Two games get discussed in one place.

Let’s start with Cyberpunk 2077: El Pais, a Spanish newspaper, has an article series called The Future Is Exciting, which interviews a lot of people with the support of Vodafone. They have involvement in projects that could be changing the future of humanity. One of them was Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk 2020, the tabletop RPG game, which is being made by CD Projekt RED into a video game, Cyberpunk 2077. (Which got a teaser trailer back in 2013. It was that long ago already…?!)

The interview was thankfully translated on Reddit – in it, Pondsmith started by saying that the plot is about ordinary people, who use technology to fight those who are in control (or the 1%, if you prefer). He also revealed that there were already plans in 1986-87 to make a game adaptation, but two reasons made it impossible. One of them was that the technology was incapable of creating a living world with a lot of NPCs, and the other one was the lack of a partner that shared the same vision of Cyberpunk. These are the reasons why we had to wait decades (!) for it to happen. He also talked about the darker side of the game and how death is depicted in „the trailer.” It looks like they are going to reveal a new trailer shortly!

Meanwhile, The Witcher 3 gets modded further on PC – one good example would be The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, which is already at version 5.0. You can find it on Nexus Mods, and the video below also compares the graphical changes.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be at E3 this year – CD Projekt RED has some weight on its shoulders…
