Released on PC in September, it became one of the best games of 2017.
After its successful passage by PC, Larian Studio, developers of Divinity: Original Sin II, have confirmed the disembarkation of their videogame in consoles for the next month of August. The distribution of the video game on consoles will be carried out by Bandai Namco. Hervé Hoerdt, vice president of marketing and digital at Bandai Namco, commented that this is “an incredible opportunity to collaborate with Larian Studios, who have already demonstrated their talent in previous games”.
Hoerdt said that the agreement reached with the developers of the sequel to Divinity is “an honor to have this incredible game in our catalog and offer new and epic adventures to console players, who can enjoy one of the worlds of role-playing deeper than ever have been created. ” The founder of Larian Studio, Swen Vincke, also appreciated the agreement with the Japanese publisher: “With Dark Souls and The Witcher, Bandai Namco has shown to know what to do with this type of productions, so I am very happy to have your support ”
Funded originally through crowdfunding, more than 40,000 patrons made the game a reality, which in its PC debut exceeded the barrier of one million units in less than two months. Making advantage of the announcement, Bandai Namco has accompanied the news of a first video in which we can see the game running on consoles.
