And it looks like Michael Ironside might return as Sam Fisher, too.
As 2013’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist didn’t reach sales targets (roughly two million copies on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC), Sam Fisher didn’t get a new game after that, and Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft‘s CEO, says that we shouldn’t forget about him yet. Especially now!
Ubisoft uploaded a teaser video to YouTube, which talks about a new special ops mission called The Call. In it, Sam Fisher (who seems to be voiced by Michael Ironside – correct us if we are wrong…) talks about how he will require a bit of extra firepower for his next mission in Bolivia. This is where the Ghosts step in.
The French publisher will reveal more details on Monday, and on Tuesday, April 10, Special Operations 1, the first new content of year 2, will already arrive for Ghost Recon: Wildlands. It will have a new game mode (Ghost War), maps, multiplayer character customization, as well as a new PvE mission and a special challenge for the core campaign.
We think Sam Fisher is part of this package – they said that the free content would be a new PvP class and a PvE mission, and the latter could be The Call.
