Bloodforge: Is Microsoft Preparing For A God Of War Ripoff? [VIDEO]

And they wouldn’t do it with a brand new IP.

Bloodforge was an Xbox 360 Arcade-exclusive, Unreal Engine 3-using game, developed by Climax/Microsoft/Imagination. The action/hack ‘n’ slash game featured the deer-headed Crom, a Celtic warrior, who wanted to have his revenge on the gods for losing his family. Hm, where have we heard this before…?

Microsoft doesn’t want to leave it in the past, though, because Jeuxvideo-Live reports that they renewed the license for the IP, which means that there could be a new game on the Xbox One to imitate the success of God of War. (That’ll be impossible to achieve, though: SIE Santa Monica’s game raised the bar substantially.)

If Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, meant actions like this behind investing a lot into Xbox-exclusives, then we’d have a few questions… anyway, look at the announcement trailer from the past.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
