A South Korean man has to face with 12 months of prison thanks to his Overwatch hack that he used to gather around 180 thousand dollars.
The mentioned hack violates South Korea’s Game Industry Promotion Law, as well as the Information and Communication Technology Protection Law. By the way, this is not the first time Overwatch got hacked from the country, but this is the first time the hack was this big – previously all hackers only had to face with fines of around 10 thousand dollars, but none of them had to go to prison.
Last year Blizzard Korea made a statement in which they said that they are “committed to creating a fair game environment for its players, and will continue to strive to maintain a fair environment”.
