Ten in one.
Life Is Strange 2 is going to have a 16 and a 9-year-old boy as protagonists after they had to flee from Seattle due to the cop killing (seen in the teaser trailer). They start going to Mexico, and we’re going to have a new supernatural power, which, again, was shown in the teaser before. The first episode is going to launch on September 27 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker introduces the Barrier Battle mode. In it, a boss is behind an energy barrier that the other team has to break to win. This game is going to launch on August 31 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider got its PC port in focus, because it was made with Nvidia’s RTX platform in mind. It’s going to offer real-time ray-tracing, which could offer better visual effects than before. The game drops on September 14 on PS4, X1, and PC.
The Sinking City, inspired by HP Lovecraft’s work, received a CGI trailer by Frogwares and Focus Home Interactive. The investigational adventure doesn’t show gameplay, but we can trust the developers, as they worked on several Sherlock Holmes games in the past 1.5 decades. The Sinking City will launch on March 21 on PS4, X1, and PC.
inXile has two videos for The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep. The first one shows the turn-based, dynamic combat system where you also have to consider your characters’ location on top of their skills, and the second one dives deep into the character creation. The game will launch on September 28 for PC, and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are planned to arrive later this year.
In Just Cause 4‘s gameplay, we can see „fully physicalized, gigantic tornadoes” that can „rip through the landscape, send huge pieces of debris spiralling through the air, and tear aeroplanes out of the sky.” The objects’ trajectory will be counted in real-time. (That could cause a ton of glitches if not programmed properly…) The open world game is out on December 4 on the usual PS4/X1/PC trio.
The local, four-player co-op having Guacamelee 2 is available from today on PlayStation Store and Steam. One of the better Metroidvania-styled games’ sequel continues to respect the Mexican traditions in its art style, and it also seems to include something called „a chicken Illuminati.” (The press release mentioned it a few times!)
World War Z, which is based on Paramount’s film franchise, also got a trailer that introduces the horde to us. The shooter, using Saber Interactives’ Swarm Engine, is going to offer four-player co-op, and it is currently set to launch next year on the usual suspects (PS4/X1/PC).
Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide announced that Space Hulk: Tactics, which is based on the Warhammer 40K Space Hulk table board game, is going to drop on October 9 on PS4, X1, and PC, trying to keep the gameplay faithful to the original. Pre-orders are open on Steam with a 10% discount, and you can also get beta access, and unique colour and emblem for each chapter, and some other extras.
The Gardens Between also got a release date. This game has space and time bending in the gardens, and it’s going to be available from September 20 for 20 dollars on PS4, Mac, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It’s a puzzle game with seemingly a ton of heart and effort poured into it.
