Marvel Games’ (owned by Disney) creative director thinks positively about Insomniac Games‘ newest title.
Spider-Man, which is currently the fastest-selling, first-party PlayStation title, received significant praise from the critics (we included). No wonder Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games’ creative director, tweeted the following:
„One of my favourite parts of this video is when Bryan Intihar (the creative director at Insomniac Games) talks about how Marvel’s Spider-Man is intended as „the Iron Man of Marvel video games,” which is exactly how we view it. As with that first MCU (Marvel Comic Universe) hit, Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4 kicks off a new era for Marvel console games.” The video he mentions in the tweet is Kinda Funny Games’ chat with Intihar, which you can watch here. Indeed, the Iron Man movie was a significant hit a decade ago…
Marvel‘s characters thus can experience a new beginning due to the success of Spider-Man. The next console generation might be bringing several superhero games from Marvel. If they are just as quality titles as Spider-Man, we will appreciate the efforts.
