All AAA games bring up the question: how will the „mid-generation” consoles, namely the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X, offer more than the ordinary consoles?
Matt Walker, a producer at Capcom, answered a question on Twitter about how the stylish (and, unfortunately, microtransaction-ridden…) Devil May Cry 5 would run on the PlayStation 4 Pro. The answer is short and to the point: it will run on a 4K resolution at sixty frames per second. We’re sure the performance would be worse than that – namely, the resolution will likely dynamically change, as we don’t expect Devil May Cry 5 to keep a native 4K resolution all the time. DigitalFoundry has taken a look at the game in August, and they confirmed a native 4K resolution and 60 FPS for the Xbox One X.
Devil May Cry 5 will have cheaper and more expensive skills that you could buy with Red Orbs (which can be purchased with real money) – the latter will require more time to learn and master. Otherwise, it’d be a waste of orbs or money. You can’t unlock everything during a playthrough unless you open your wallets.
Devil May Cry 5 will launch on March 8 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
