It seems Minecraft: Story Mode is also laid to rest!

Gamasutra reports that the remaining twenty-five employees also had to leave Telltale, which, of course, wasn’t confirmed yet. If we add this tweet from Rachel Noel, the narrative designer of Telltale, the recent rumour is also seemingly debunked thus.

„Heeeeyyyy remember how there was going to be a skeleton crew staying on for a while and I was part of it? Nah, jk, we all just got laid off, too,” the tweet reads. It means that the recent plans and ideas regarding Telltale and The Walking Dead have likely all been thrown away!

Kotaku‘s report about Telltale‘s plans to hire another development team to get The Walking Dead team back to finish The Final Season is also possibly not happening then. The third episode is mentioned to be mostly completed, and the fourth one was also started.

Still, it seems we can now bid farewell to Telltale for good…
