Also, the Xbox One X users should have more than 110-120 gigabytes to install the game (even though the final installed size of Red Dead Redemption 2 would be 89 or so GB).
On Instagram, a few photos surfaced of Red Dead Redemption 2‘s steelbook, which will be part of the game’s Ultimate Edition. With these photos, we can confirm from another source that the game will come on two Blu-ray discs. One of them would be the install disc, and the other one would be the play disc, and that would explain the 89 GB install size.
On Twitter, a photo surfaced that shows the Xbox One X is going to get an optional 4K texture pack, and we can’t even imagine how big that is going to be. However, seeing that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be entirely playable in first-person, it’s a reasonable decision by Rockstar…
Rockstar’s crunch time subject also got updates. On Kotaku, we read that Jenn Kolbe, Rockstar‘s head of publishing says the overtime was not obligatory in Rockstar Lincoln, the team with allegedly the hardest crunch, although several employees felt that it was necessary. There’s also a few new details: the quality assurance (QA) testers had had 52.5-hour workweeks since October 9, 2017 (when they turned it up a notch), and this average has raised to 57.4 hours. (With a five-day work week, that’s almost 11.5 hours each day.) The average tester spent 38.4 hours a week since the initial request, which grew to 45.4 hours in May, and 53.1 in August, respectively.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out on Friday on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
