Jade Raymond, the founder of EA Motive, leaves the company

Samantha Ryan, another veteran of the field, will take her place from now on.

EA publisher today stated with a series of significant organizational changes that directly affect EA Motive: Jade Raymond, founder and director of the company, leave the company. Samantha Ryan will now take the reins of this and other studios, expanding her track record beyond such essential games as The Sims, Batman: Arkham City, No One Lives Forever or Anthem. She was also president of Monolith and vice president of products at Warner Bros.

“We appreciate all Raymond’s efforts, and we wish him well as he embarks on his next adventure,” says EA. That said, Raymond has not yet told about this change, and it is not at all clear what path he will take from today. Since the opening of EA Motive in 2015, Raymond had been involved in several projects, including support for Star Wars: Battlefront 2, an open-world Star Wars game, a new IP action and adventure and a mysterious project that never nothing advanced.

In Jade Raymond‘s remarkable resume, she appears as a producer in previous iterations of the Assassin’s Creed series, and also as executive producer in Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell: Blacklist among others. Remaining attentive to her next movements will be necessary.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
