The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild came out in early 2017 on the Nintendo Switch (as a launch title) and the Wii U. How much do we have to wait for the next one?
In the newest Game Informer Show, Imran Khan, a senior editor at GameInformer, answered with the following after Ben Henson, the video producer of GI, said that we might receive a cooperative Zelda game like Triforce Heroes was: „I just think what I should say about that. The next Zelda will probably be sooner than we think. I will talk to you off-camera about stuff.”
Khan says that the next Zelda game is „not exactly” a cooperative title, which could probably mean that GameInformer’s editor has heard a thing or two from the games industry about Nintendo’s ideas. As the magazine (which also releases in print format) is highly regarded, they might have insider information up their sleeves.
The next The Legend of Zelda might be in development for the Nintendo Switch, but a Nintendo 3DS title isn’t ruled out either. We’ll see shortly: Nintendo likely plans something… it could even be a Wind Waker HD port.
