Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, has said that Red Dead Redemption 2‘s online component, Red Dead Online, is planned to launch „towards the end of November.” At the end of the week, we’ll already be in December…
Ultragamers reports that 0.01% of Xbox One users have already received Breakout, the achievement upon completion of Red Dead Online‘s intro, which means a few people are already playing/testing. However, Rockstar has openly stated they will expect bugs/other issues due to launching a beta.
RockstarIntel has also published a photo which was uploaded two weeks ago, but they didn’t embed it into their site due to DMCA fears, and we will follow suit – this photo shows a screenshot of Red Dead Online’s intro and not something from Red Dead Redemption 2‘s single-player. As it’s a thumbnail, it might show up on your Rockstar Social Club profile later, too.
Ultragamers took a few more screenshots from other achievements, such as Getting Started after reaching level 10, Series Major for participating in such an event, Gun For Hire after completing 10 Free Roam missions, and the like on Xbox One. On PlayStation 4, we expect the same things, but with trophies instead of achievements.
So a few people are already neck deep into Red Dead Online, which SHOULD start its beta this week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Let’s prepare for the announcement then, as it is just a question of time when it will happen…
