CliffyB, who previously created memorable games with Unreal Tournament and Gears of War, had an unfortunate result with Lawbreakers and Radical Heights – both flopped, and he made an unexpected turn.
Bleszinski, who has sworn to never work on a video game ever again, did indeed abandon the gaming industry – on Twitter, he announced that he is going to work at the Broadway! He is going to be the co-producer of a musical called Hadestown, which will debut on Broadway in March. This opera is based on Anais Mitchell’s album, and the story is about the Orpheus-Eurydice duo.
It’s not a joke: one of the former significant names in the gaming industry did end up in one of the theatres in New York that is world famous. Let’s hope that he will have more success here than with his former studio, Boss Key Productions (where he created Lawbreakers and Radical Heights). Good luck, CliffyB!
