Blizzard “purges” 20,000 “toxic” Overwatch players in Korea

The sanctioned are accused of using abusive language or of altering the normal course of the game.

Blizzard Entertainment continues its odyssey to ensure a healthier environment in Overwatch: in addition to the tools and facilities provided last year, which materialized in 28.8% fewer toxic players in America, the company has executed a “cleaning” of toxicity among the Korean public. In the process, 18,188 different accounts have been penalized, as it is collected in the official forums.

It seems that Blizzard has strictly adhered to the criterion of toxicity for this wave of expulsions, leaving aside the use of traps and punishing users who have been inactive during their games, using abusive or inappropriate language, bothering others in some way players or sabotaging the game in some way.

After the Inverlandia 2018 event, the near future of Overwatch is uncertain. We know that there are six heroes programmed for the game, and there have also been suspicions that could point to the passage of the game to the free to play format.
