Capcom is considering to expand the survival horror game (which is out on Friday!) after its launch.
The Japanese publisher might be considering further DLC because of the One-Shot demo, which has been downloaded by over a million people (and it will only be available until January 31!). GameRant writes about an interview by Saudi Gamer, where they talked with the game’s director (Kazunori Kadoi) and producer (Yoshiaki Hirabayashi). They say that they have ideas to do post-launch DLC, but they didn’t go into further details. They said they are dedicated about this game, and they want to give new content to the fans of the franchise before they play other games.
However, we have yet to see what they could add to the game – Hunk and Tofu, the two secret characters, were already confirmed at the end of the demo, so we should likely prepare for new costumes (which is already a difference between the standard and the Deluxe edition), but Capcom might surprise us. They also released an interactive trailer called The Choice is Yours, where we can select whose story to follow (Leon or Claire).
Resident Evil 2 Remake is out on January 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s a shame that it will not get a co-op mode!
