Media Molecule‘s next game allows players to play Konami’s unavailable Playable Teaser…
Dreams relies on our creativity far more than Media Molecule‘s previous franchise LittleBigPlanet, but Lewis Conner managed to pull off the near impossible: the playable teaser of Silent Hills (which was developed by Hideo Kojima before he left Konami, cancelling the game entirely in the process), which was available on PlayStation 4 a few years ago, was remade in Dreams! It got a short video published on Twitter, too.
However, there’s a slight issue: publishing the video has broken Media Molecule’s non-disclosure agreement (NDA), and thus, Christophe Villedieu, the game’s designer, requested the video to be taken down for now. However, he later added that the recreation of P.T. is awesome, although its floor isn’t perfect, and he believes Conner should remake it into something original.
Dreams‘ beta is ending on February 4 on PlayStation 4. Only our creations will be carried over to the retail release (which doesn’t have an exact release date yet…), but our progress won’t be.
