Surprisingly, one of the key Ubisoft franchises has a game currently that can be ours for free.
It’s a bold move by the French publisher, but they did it: on the Ubisoft Store (click here) if you are from the United States), you can get Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China for free! It’s a sidescrolling platformer, so it’s not the usual AAA title. It was part of a trilogy – there was also an episode in India, and another one in Russia. This game is free until February 5 in the Ubisoft Store. All you need is a Ubisoft account.
There are two other games that we’ll mention here – on Steam, Kholat can be added to your game library permanently for free until January 4, 9 AM Pacific. This 2015 indie horror game is narrated by none other than Sean Bean! (We wonder if he dies during the game…)
Finally, a turn towards Epic Games Store, Tim Sweeney’s aggressively expanding online store. They offer a game for free every two weeks. At the moment, it’s Jackbox Party Pack 1, which will be replaced by Axiom Verge on February 7. If you have an Epic Games Store-account, you can add it to your library.
There are decent freebies – you just have to look for them…
