Devil May Cry 5 Director Would Love To Work On A Dragon’s Dogma Sequel!

As Devil May Cry 5 is hitting the launch day soon (just a few more days!), Hideaki Itsuno, the game’s director, will have free time to work on something else.

Itsuno has recently said that he had a choice of either developing Devil May Cry 5 or Dragon’s Dogma 2 (we discussed it as well), but now, he told Eurogamer that during his twenty-five years at Capcom, the game with the dragons provided him with the biggest challenge:

„Dragon’s Dogma! That was a brand new series – a lot of other stuff I’d done was already established. It was one of the first real new things. And back then it still wasn’t quite so common for Capcom to do a simultaneous worldwide release, plus we were doing all this new stuff with the pawn system [in that game]. If I could, I’d love to make Dragon’s Dogma 2 – it’d be awesome,” Itsuno said.

Capcom has been considering for years to give Dragon’s Dogma (which is an action-RPG, by the way…) a sequel, and if Devil May Cry 5 – which is out on March 8 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC – becomes successful, perhaps Itsuno will get a chance to pull it off…
