SEGA Announced No Less Than FOUR Olympic Games! [VIDEO]

One of them will be a big surprise for Nintendo fans!

SEGA revealed all four games via Twitter. Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game will allow you to create your avatar to compete against people worldwide. This game has a weird release schedule: the Japanese/Asian launch will be this summer (?!), while the Western edition will be available from next year. Target platforms? PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch. (We don’t understand this release timing difference either… and we’re getting a PC and an Xbox One version, too – it’s just Japan disliking the console.)

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will appeal to the Nintendo Switch-users – SEGA has already made several Olympic games with the mascots of Nintendo and SEGA being at the helm, and the game, announced for the Nintendo Switch (as an exclusive no less!), will come this winter, with cooperative gameplay, thanks to the Joy-Cons. The Japanese players will also get an arcade version as well in 2020. As there’s not much interest in the West for arcade cabinets (what a shame!), it’s likely that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Arcade Edition will stay in Japan…

The fourth announcement is for Tokyo Sonic 2020 at the Olympic Games, which will come in 2020 for iOS and Android. The announcement mentions simple controls and unique social features. (The logo is a work-in-progress version.)

SEGA immediately announced four (that’s tricky… make it three and a half) games, but we’re definitely not going to see one of them around here. Will these games be successful? These are seasonal games, don’t forget… so who will play these titles in 2021?
