Christopher Nolan’s new film is titled Tenet

MOVIE NEWS – Tenet is the name of the new, highly anticipated spy thriller by Christopher Nolan whose filming began in these days. And this is not the only novelty concerning the new Warner brand mega-production: the cast also includes Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine. The first collaborated with the British director in the previous, magnificent Dunkirk. The second is instead a longer-term artistic partner: the partnership between Nolan and Caine is in fact started in 2005 with Batman Begins and has developed through five other feature films, including Tenet. Indeed, if you want to be picky you would be six, since the non-accredited interpreter also participated in Dunkirk, giving voice to a character who does not appear in the field.

As already announced, the protagonists of Tenet will be John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman), Elizabeth Debicki (Widows) and Robert Pattinson (High Life). The filming of the thriller – whose story written by Nolan himself could have sci-fi implications in the Inception style – will take place in seven different countries. The project will be shot with 70mm cameras and IMAX, a constant in the filmmaker’s shooting method. Tenet will be released in US theaters and predictably also on July 17th 2020.

Christopher Nolan received five Academy Award nominations: two as a producer (Inception, Dunkirk), two as a writer (Memento, Inception) and surprisingly only one as a director (Dunkirk). He never won the statuette, which in our opinion is even more difficult to believe. Will Tenet come to put an end to the faulty abstinence of recognition?
