NPCs Could Also Die Because Of Us In Death Stranding

The non-playable characters could also bite the bullet if we make bad decisions in Hideo Kojima‘s next game, Death Stranding.

Even though Death Stranding is barely over a month away from its launch day, it’s still shrouded in mystery, and it will stay that way, as Kojima himself wants us to experience his new game. On Reddit, there is new information about what he said at an event held at the Garage Museum of Modern Art in Moscow. „We have a character who lives deep underground. He is sick and needs medicine, and Sam can deliver it. Since this happens at the beginning of the story, this is a must. After completing this quest, the player himself chooses the following actions: you can constantly go to the old man and carry medicine; you can deliver other items; You can listen to his stories from the past.

But the player is constantly moving forward and moving away from the character. And I’m sure that there are gamers who forget about this old man. And then they will remember and return to it. Since they have not carried medicine to him all this time, he will die by this moment. Through such actions, a connection arises with the character. We hope that the significance of the connection between people – how it is formed, how it develops – will be revealed, and it will be interesting for you to play it,” the Reddit post says.

The game will likely give us a trophy if we keep giving the old man medicine, even though we keep going more and more to the West in the region of the United States throughout the story. We’ll see shortly: Death Stranding is out on November 8 on PlayStation 4, and a PC port might follow at a later date.
