Private Worlds In Fallout 76? You Mean „Private?”

Bethesda seems to make a fool out of itself on purpose at this point: the Fallout 1st subscription for Fallout 76 (which we detailed yesterday) has a function that isn’t exactly what it says on the tin.

On Reddit, there is a topic that discusses Fallout 76’s private worlds. The fact that your friends can see that you are in a private world and that they can join you is not a bug, as the description said that up to seven of your friends can join you there without even them having a Fallout 1st subscription. However, there’s something else that makes the whole thing nothing short of pathetic.

These private worlds aren’t new but REUSED ONES! Dead NPCs here, already looted junk there, and there are other signs of people previously using these worlds. We have to mention that private worlds are the key seller points behind the Fallout 1st subscription for 13 bucks a month or a hundred for a year, respectively. That’s not all: the unlimited-size (and thus, pay-to-win) Scrapbox ends up making your scrap disappear in it with no way of getting your items back. There are multiple bugs listed on the Reddit site. GG, Bethesda!

There’s another reason why we can say GG Bethesda: the company forgot to do something. The falloutfirst.com domain wasn’t registered by them, so an angry user decided to make a parody of the official description of what Fallout 1st offers. We’re going to quote two sentences of it: „Only the dumbass who bought this membership who owns the private world is required to be a Fallout F___ YOU 1st slave. Head into your private world, open your Social menu once you’re inside our buggy beta version of a game, and start inviting your “friends” to kick off the ass pounding.” We’re sure that Bethesda will use its lawyers to get this site gone, but on Twitter, the parody was saved. It made us laugh for five minutes straight!

Can Bethesda fall even lower?
