Bethesda Is Making Itself Look Bad With Fallout 76 Once Again!

It looks like the fact that Fallout 76 was one of the worst games of 2018 wasn’t enough for them, not to mention the numerous scandals around the game – no, Bethesda wants to go deeper!

Bethesda announced that Fallout 76 now offers a premium membership called Fallout 1st. Its monthly fee is 13 dollars, and an annual membership costs 100. We are not joking: on top of the game price, you can pay more via this membership! But what on Earth are we getting for our money? Let’s quote Bethesda‘s post:

  • Private Worlds – The community has been asking for the ability to play in private worlds since before the launch of Fallout 76, and we’re very excited to announce that they are coming to the game with Fallout 1st. If you’re a Fallout 1st member, how you use your private world is completely up to you: Invite up to seven of your friends at a time (eight total people per private world) to join you in taking on the dangers of post-apocalyptic West Virginia or play completely solo. All gameplay remains the same from Adventure Mode and all characters entering the Fallout 1st private worlds must be existing characters. Only the owner of a private world is required to be a Fallout 1st member.
  • Scrapbox – As Fallout 1st member, you also gain access to your own private Scrapbox. Use the Scrapbox to store all your crafting components so they aren’t taking up space in your Stash Box. The Scrapbox has unlimited storage, so no need to worry about picking and choosing when it comes to hoarding scrap.
  • Survival Tent – A new placeable fast travel point with a Stash, Sleeping Bag, and more for your basic needs.
  • Atoms – Receive 1,650 Atoms per month to use in the Atomic Shop.
  • Ranger Armor Outfit – An iconic Fallout outfit, exclusively for members.
  • Icons & Emotes Pack – Unique icons and emotes, usable only by members.

Yes, you have to pay a hundred bucks for a year to get private servers in Fallout 76. Remember what Bethesda said last year? No pay-to-win elements in the game? Then what is this? And on Twitter, not a lot of positive feedbacks can be read under the announcement. Perhaps there is a better way to suck more money out of the players.

And here’s an image that we found on Twitter. It perfectly explains the feedback of Fallout 1st! And where’s the Wastelanders update with the scripted NPCs? Oh, you must wait until next year for that!
