Star Wars Episode I: Racer – We’ll Be Able To Hold It In Our Hands

One fate, one race, a single decisive victory.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer was released 21 years ago, and is one of the most successful and popular Star Wars games of all time. Debuting in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace was the podracing, one of the most successful parts of the film, so it was no wonder that racing at an average of 900 km / h on the Galaxy’s most dangerous racetracks has grabbed many people’s imagination. The strength of the game was clearly the way it made the control and look of each machine unique, and the latter was true for the pilots as well. Participating in the Formula 1 race of space is certainly not life insurance, these guys were all special who were not afraid to face death at a frantic speed.

In addition to the machines, the tracks were also interesting, the special, colourful and dangerous locations of Star Wars made it immediately clear that we will have to pay attention to the readiness of our machines. Repair during the race and tuning in the garage also got a place in the game, if we played our cards skillfully, we could definitely pull at least one machine to the maximum speed by the end of the game. It was an unspeakable experience to speed with 1,200 where we had previously “wandered” at a speed of a few hundred kilometres per hour.

Luckily, the memorable game will not be forgotten: it was released on June 23 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and will now be available for pre-order in a limited-edition courtesy of Limited Run Games. Pre-ordering will begin on July 10th.

The game will be available for another four weeks, and the “Classic Edition” will be available on both platforms, which will include a poster and a commemorative video game cartridge in addition to the game’s original copy and retro box.

Here is a brief overview of the game from Aspyr Media:
