The terrifying character is coming under fire for the alleged reduction of his butt.
Pyramid Head, the terrifying character in the Silent Hill franchise, has recently arrived in Dead by Daylight and after its incorporation, it didn’t take long for some players who were quite outraged to say the reason behind their frustration we least expected: Pyramid Head’s butt. This iconic being has been one of the most anticipated crossover that is making it into the Behavior Interactive title and the controversy is far from its gameplay.
Many have noticed that the imposing and well-defined butt, seen in the original version of the character, has been removed and in return, the new killer features a flat, square back, in addition to being completely covered by his grubby clothes. Without a doubt, a disappointment for those who consider that it was his most important asset and a representative part of the character.

His butt has remained intact, only the apron has been modified
Behaviour Interactive denies having influenced Pyramid Head’s butt. The studio has insisted that it remains equally round and complete and that it has not been reduced during production or after the game’s release. The same Mathieu Cote, director in Dead by Daylight has revealed to the Polygon portal that “his butt has remained intact” and that the only thing they have modified is “the apron that covers his body”, which could create the illusion that they’ve changed something under it, but they didn’t.
Pyramid Head made its first appearance in Silent Hill 2, where it emerged as a metaphor for the protagonist’s guilt and shame. In Dead by Daylight he is able to perform executions and use his great knife to dig trenches and block survivors. The community is delighted with the faithful portrayal of the character and has nicknamed him Daddy Pyramid Head.
For now, players can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that there have been no major alterations to such a popular character. The Silent Hill chapter of Dead By Daylight is out now and allows players to take on the role of Cheryl as a survivor or Pyramid Head as a killer. Pyramid Head joins other licensed horror franchise killers, including Amanda Young from Saw, Michael Myers from Halloween, and Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Dead by Daylight is available on PC via Steam as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
