The new game from the developers of Machinarium, Creaks has been in development for 8 years. Amanita Design brings us new puzzles in a dark mansion.

After a lot of praying finally comes Creaks, the new video game by the makers of Machinarium. It has been confirmed that it will go on sale this July, without giving out the exact day. This dark but very beautiful adventure will soon be for sale. And to celebrate the news, the Amanita Design team has released a new trailer for their latest work that has been in development for eight years.

 

“The human imagination is wonderfully ambiguous,” – says the main person in charge of this puzzle adventure.

“Very often, when we look at an object, our sight deceives us and makes us believe that it is something else. Terrifying things … Sometimes we look at the sky and see faces through the clouds, wondering how it is possible that the person next to us does not see exactly the same thing. This ‘seeing things’ phenomenon has a beautiful scientific name: pareidolia.” What does this have to do with the Creaks in practice?

 

“As soon as you start Creaks, you will come across some strange creatures barking through the dark corridors of the mansion. But are they as dangerous as they seem? Pull them towards a beam of light and check it out. Maybe you will discover that what made your hair stand was just a nightstand.” – continues Radim Jurda in a lengthy article published on the PlayStation blog .

“Transforming these creatures into ordinary objects is the main game mechanic, which is combined with pulling levers, pressing switches and manipulating the environment to always be one step ahead of your enemies.”

True to their style, the authors of Chuchel surprise again with an incredible visual section that portrays a strange mansion full of secrets and mystery. To encourage exploration, the game features lots of collectibles in the form of pictures that, again, surprise with their artistic taste. “I am looking forward to you exploring this strange mini-universe that we have created and I hope you enjoy exploring every corner of the old mansion, solving puzzles and unraveling the mysteries after the chaos.” – adds the creative.

 

It won’t be the only interesting game in the near future: ’Where the Heart Is’ is also based on an interesting concept.

So the game is expected to launch in July 2020. The exact date has not been announced yet. The target platforms will be the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
