Mortal Shell Releases Open Beta On PC via Epic Games Store

The developers of Mortal Shell thus comply with the wishes of their fans, who had been insistently asking for this beta version.

Mortal Shell, the dark RPG inspired by Dark Souls, recently released its closed beta so that a lucky few could test the game in its first version. Following high user demand, Cold Symmetry and Playstack, the independent team of veterans behind its development, have opened the beta for anyone to sign up for. So, if this souls-like catches your attention, you can go to the Epic Games Store right now and request access. Of course, we do not know how long the option will be available.

If you have not yet become familiar with Mortal Shell, its creators have been sharing enough material since its announcement two months ago. In addition to already having new details in a video gameplay and the minimum recommended requirements for PC, the game has presented two of its characters, the main one has a dark aesthetic and a large number of polygons, the second one resembles a medieval knight, but in brutal and striking armor that leaves no one indifferent.

The title will debut later this summer on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but before that you can train and hone your skills by playing this beta. Simply log in to the Epic Games Store, search for the video game page and select the “beta” tab at the top. There it can be obtained for free for as long as its creators want, it is possible that they will close it when the downloads begin to saturate and, seeing the demand, it will not be too late, so hurry up. If you want more information about the title, Cold Symmetry has set up a website full of information, although with some mystery.

Its successful visual style will attract the eyes of fans , eager to continue exploring this type of game and its possibilities. Something we already know is that the game will completely dispense with multiplayer options and focus on offering a better experience without those kinds of unattainable distractions for such a small studio.
