Weapons, action, great music and violence in Cyberpunk 2077 – new gameplay trailers & things have also come to light about our origins.
CD Projekt has presented a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 in a new digital event that has allowed us to learn more about the origins of the protagonist of this action and role-playing adventure, as well as the varied and lethal arsenal of weapons that we will have at our fingertips, with shotguns, rocket launchers, rifles and even katanas with which to dismember any enemy that crosses our path.
Nomad, Corpo and Street Kid are the three origins you can choose from
The first big decision that Cyberpunk 2077 players will have to face will be to determine the origins of the protagonist, V, with three options available: Nomad, which will take us to the desert lands of Badlands from which we will try to enter Night City; Street Kid, who will turn us into an expert on the city’s underworld, and Corpo, someone from high places used to fighting corporate wars and handling large sums of money.
If you choose Nomad, you will start the adventure in the Badlands; the badlands surrounding Night City.
Depending on our choice, the adventure will begin in one way or another, but these origins will also determine how we respond to the world around us during the rest of the game, putting exclusive dialogue options and other advantages of the most varied at our fingertips. CD Projekt RED has also paid attention to weapons, highlighting the wide variety of destruction tools that we can use during the game, whether with firearms, katanas and other bladed weapons, as well as hacking.
There is a wide variety of weapons, which you can modify and improve during the game
As expected, we will have the freedom to customize the equipment and improve certain parameters to adapt to the action or to our liking, but as we already knew, you can overcome Cyberpunk 2077 without killing anyone if that is what you want. During the broadcast of the game, several CD Projekt creatives have chatted about other details of the game, confirming for example that we will be free to explore Badlands regardless of whether or not we have chosen the Nomad origin.
The game is made by the creators of The Witcher series, so that particular bar is high enough. If you want to read more about what we already know about the game, check out our preview of Night City and Cyberpunk 2077!
(The game will be released on November 19 for PC, Xbox One and PS4, followed by Google Stadia sometime later this year, and next year by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.)
