Denuvo – Also Used By Tony Hawk And Marvel’s Avengers On PC

After Death Stranding, Denuvo continues to march to the delight of PC gamers. The hugely popular system hasn’t been hacked yet.

When word breaks out that a game is coming to PC with Denuvo, computer gamers rarely take it well. This anti-hacking system can lead to various performance issues and is not well-liked by the community. Now we have learned that both Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 and Marvel’s Avengers will use Denuvo to prevent illegal copies.

For one thing, Activision hasn’t even waited for the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 to open the game’s Denuvo page. This may be because the game is already in the hands of the specialized press and other people, and they are already avoiding any possible hacking that may arise. Remember that the return of Tony Hawk will be effective on September 4 for Epic Games Store, in addition to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

On the other hand, Square Enix has updated the Steam page of Marvel’s Avengers and we can see how it reflects that the game will have the Denuvo system. Of course, the Japanese company sometimes withdraws the system when a few months pass after launch, as happened with Dragon Quest Builders 2 in June. The Crystal Dynamics game will also arrive on September 4 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. It will also do so in the future for PS5 and Xbox Series X, and it will be free for those who buy it on PS4 and Xbox One.

While the use of Denuvo is always controversial, it stands to reason that companies do everything possible to prevent their game from being hacked. In fact, some recent releases, such as Death Stranding, F1 2020 or Resident Evil 3 Remake have used it and have not been cracked yet. The system seems to be working better and better and the developers are aware.

Regardless of Denuvo usage, both games are September Featured Releases. Of course, Marvel’s Avengers is giving a lot to talk about, first for the exclusivity of Spider-Man on PlayStation, and then for revealing that there will be even more exclusive content on mobile devices.
