Watch Dogs: Legion To Be An Xbox Series Launch Title

There is no longer a need to separate the two models, and we can safely say that the third Watch Dogs title is going to be an Xbox Series launch title.

Ubisoft announced on Twitter that Watch Dogs: Legion is going to be available on the Xbox Series consoles from November 10. Why? Because that’s when Microsoft will make them available. (In short, the Xbox Series X will cost 499 dollars, while the Blu-ray drive lacking Xbox Series S will have a 299 USD price tag.) If you wonder when the PlayStation 5 version will arrive, we have no clue, as Sony still hasn’t announced its price and release date yet, so… we have to be patient.

If you buy Watch Dogs: Legion on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X version for free. The game is set in London (and, due to our black humour, we linked the UK Watch Dogs Twitter for that reason… we will see ourselves out the door), and its current-gen version will launch earlier. In case you forgot, it’s going to hit the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the Google Stadia, and PC (with the obligatory Denuvo DRM and possibly a constant Internet connection requirement; available on UPlay and Epic Games Store) on October 29.

„It is time to take back London, and anyone you see in this iconic city can be recruited to your resistance. Corrupt opportunists have taken over and it’s up to you to build a resistance to give the city back to the people. With an entire population of potential recruits and the city’s technology at your fingertips, you’ll need to hack, infiltrate, and fight your way to liberate London. Welcome to the Resistance. […] After a mysterious assailant initiates devastating terror attacks on London, DedSec, a secret underground resistance who is being blamed for the attacks and is on the brink of annihilation, needs your help. Your mission is to rebuild DedSec to fight back against those who wish to keep London oppressed. You will continue to meet colourful characters along the way – both villains and allies – in your fight for London,” the game’s overview says.

We have yet to see if it’s going to be worth waiting two weeks for the next-gen version.
