The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is Now Official, With a Trailer and a Release Date [VIDEO]

Additionally, Ubisoft will include the original 1992 PoP as an in-game unlockable.

It was being rumored and leaked, so there were not many doubts about it: the remake of Prince of Persia – The Sands of Time is real and we already know its main details. During the recent Ubisoft Forward program, the “father” of Assassin’s Creed has presented his first trailer and sets its release date for next January 21 . We can play it on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. What news does it bring?

Those responsible say that essentially, the remake has respected the original story, the story and the characters as we know them; but liberties have been taken to update and refine outdated formulas. Thus, elements such as the combat system will be improved – in this case, with a targeting system similar to what we have today in almost all action RPGs. Of course, the graphics and sound have also been updated, with the curiosity that the original voice of our prince (in English, at least) will be the same as in the original: Yuri Lowenthal. Farah, meanwhile, has also been renewed.

The first leaked footage of the game didn’t do a huge favor, but it looks like the first remake in Ubisoft’s history will look better than it did at the time – feel free to check out the trailer. In the official description, the company mentions an interesting detail: we can unlock the original Prince of Persia, the Mac version from 1992, during the game’s tour to be able to play it whenever we feel like it from the main menu.

We still remember this version of the game today in our reports and retro spaces, while Sands of Time continues to be one of the most beloved installments of the saga.
