Is Sony Issuing Refunds Over Cyberpunk 2077!? [VIDEO]

CD Projekt RED‘s game is so weak that Sony is instead backing out from the Polish team’s game?

We already mentioned today that players are using the #Cyberbug2077 hashtag on Twitter to showcase the various bugs and glitches found in the game with the world. Digital Foundry has also confirmed that the performance of Cyberpunk 2077 is shoddy on a base PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One/Xbox One S is not much better either. Weak frame rate, subpar resolution, and bugs galore. Here below are two examples from Twitter.

„I had to file a support claim online and sit on hold for over an hour to speak with someone, however, they were quick to issue the refund and then delete the game off my library,” a Reddit user claimed, sharing their story of getting a refund after calling the PlayStation support line even after having played more than two hours. Other users also revealed that it’s not a one-off event. „Spent an hour on the phone after being denied by Chatbot and I got my refund! Shout out to u/SirPanic12 for the advice on mentioning the game crashing and not being able to progress further. That’s pretty much all I had to say,” another user added.

Last year, Sony introduced a new PlayStation Store refund policy. It allows users to get their money back in fourteen days from a purchase on the PlayStation Store. The terms cover pre-ordered content, as well as released games and DLC. However, if the user started to download or stream this content, the refund is not possible… unless the content in question is deemed „faulty.”

And if many players have managed to get a refund, it means that Sony is rather losing money via the PlayStation Store sales, causing CD Projekt RED to lose face: the current-gen consoles can barely run the first-person perspective RPG. Even though not everyone got refunds!

Perhaps this is why the Polish developers said that the game is pretty much a next-gen title. However, Cyberpunk 2077 still doesn’t have its next-gen patch, and the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series will not receive it until next year.
