The newest Yeti of the gaming industry, according to new rumours, is going to launch by the end of March 2022…
VGC reports of the new rumours involving FromSoftware‘s game that was announced almost two years ago. It’s been hidden from us ever since, even though it has its lore written by someone called George R.R. Martin, who you may know via his work on A Song of Ice and Fire, as well as Game of Thrones…
The site published a new, six-second video that doesn’t have the best quality (it’s an off-screen recording), and it also has the same Bandai Namco confidential watermark, which is the same one we have seen in previously leaked footage of Elden Ring. Now, if this is from the same leak, then it’s probably from the same build of the game, meaning it’s more than a year old by now. That is a long time, even in game development!
Let’s also talk about Kadokawa Corporation. They are relevant, as they happen to be the parent company of FromSoftware. Kadokawa has suggested that Elden Ring could be released by April 2022, as the company has forecast the launch of new titles during its current financial year (which will end on March 31, 2022), noting some had to be delayed due to the coronavirus global pandemic. So currently, the plans are to release Elden Ring by the end of March.
Elden Ring was announced by Bandai Namco in June 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Surely, this has changed since then. We highly suspect that the game is now also planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. We think the game will be announced AGAIN this summer, and after a potential development hell situation, it would make sense.
