The Farm 51 has published a new video for the survival-themed RPG; in it, the character who is the reason why our protagonist goes to the Zone is getting the lead role.
Chernobylite, as you would expect, is set in Chernobyl, at the Exclusion Zone, similarly to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (which will get its next game, with a number two at the end, this year on Xbox Series and PC… so you’ll get a double dose of the Zone in 2021), but there’s a different aspect in this game.
Here is a brief overview of the game, via All In! Games, the publisher: „In Chernobylite, you play as Igor, a former employee of the Chernobyl Power Plant who returns to the Exclusion Zone to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his fiancee, Tatyana, 30 years prior. In the Zone, time is not a simple, linear matter. You’ll have to make choices that will affect your ultimate fate—even changing the past. Will you make the right decisions? Will they lead you to Tatyana?” So time will not be as natural as in real life, and this description points to it quite nicely. It might be going slower, or even faster, just to keep that video game twist included.
Chernobylite is currently in early access format on both Steam and GOG with a 30 USD/EUR price tag. But not for long: in July (on a currently undisclosed day), it will go retail, with the price increased to 40. At the same time, there will also be a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version for this survival horror game (which genre is somewhat expected by The Farm 51 after Get Even).
But what about a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version? Those will also arrive, but later in the year.
