One of the three games has been confirmed to be available for free for the PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Mantisco announced that its game, Hunter’s Arena: Legends, which is currently in Steam Early Access, will have a proper launch on August 3 on PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, and we suspect that the PlayStation Plus subscribers will only gain free access to the PS5 port of the game (until September 6). The online battle royale game will bring some changes to the table in its retail/release version:
„Five new warriors—Momo, Dalgi, Wu Kong, Pigsy, and Sandy—will be added to a total roster of 17 Hunters that players can enjoy, test, and craft their strategies with. […] Listening to user feedback, the map has now been shrunk and the number of players has been decreased for more dynamic gameplay and easier navigation. Fast travel options have also been added.
[…] To give players more options, Quickstep has been added to the game. It’s a risky move that can turn the tide of the battle, but using it makes players more vulnerable to the enemy’s projectiles. […] There’s a new arena coming, as well various optimizations that allow for cross-play between PС and PlayStation. The game’s PC performance has been further improved,” Mantisco wrote.
And from Steam, here’s the overview of the game: „In ancient Asia, once existing peace was shattered by Demons set free by an unknown power. Sensing great danger, Hunters around the world gathered as one to stop the spreading chaos. However, the Hunters soon found out that none other than one of their own, a Hunter, has broken the seal and released the Demons into the world. With no one to trust, the Hunters must now fight off demons as well as point blades at each other.”
And a quote about the combat system: „Hunter’s Arena: Legend‘s combat system resembles fighting action of a martial arts film. The core gameplay centres around aerial combos against enemies and decisively countering your opponent to turn the fight around. There are many ways to get around and stay on top of your enemies. Use Quickstep at the right moment to bring the fight to your pace or use Martial Arts to neutralize enemy guard. However, there are always high risks to using these abilities. Being countered while using Martial Arts could instead put you in a Groggy state and using Quickstep away from your enemies could leave you prone to enemy projectiles.”
Hunter’s Arena: Legends will launch on August 3 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
