War Hospital: The First Look Into A British World War I Hospital [VIDEO]

Nacon is not only trying to get a foothold on two/four wheels, but the French publisher formerly known as Bigben Interactive has also set its sights on other genres with War Hospital.

Brave Lamb Studio is bringing a different game to the table, and its Steam page depicts it appropriately: “When the bullet hits the target, another fight starts. A fight for life. A fight for the soul. The year is 1917. You are major Henry Wells, a retired British combat medic, drafted back and thrown into the nightmare of World War I. Understaffed and undersupplied, you are the last bastion of hope for countless soldiers at the French Front.

Treat horrible war injuries as the commander of a field hospital. Build a facility to heal them while the artillery shells explode ear-splittingly close. Use actual WW1 equipment and see how your tools and methods evolve. Your choices will make a lasting impact. Build a micro-community of life-savers and survivors. Kindle hope in your staff and soldiers. Bring a speck of normalcy by inspiring periods of ceasefire. Play a war-themed game that celebrates life, not death.

“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” — Albert Einstein. […] Society survival that challenges tactics as well as morals. [A] faithfully recreated setting of the French Front in World War I. Realistically depicted conditions of a British field hospital,” Brave Lamb Studio wrote. The team worked together with the British Imperial War Museums as well for additional authenticity.

“Nacon is especially proud and honoured to have been selected by Brave Lambs to work together on the success of War Hospital, a unique game in the genre, once again demonstrating, on the heels of titles such as This War of Mine and Soldats Inconnus that our media can deal with subjects that are complex and serious while keeping their identity,” Benoit Clerc, the publishing director of Nacon, said.

War Hospital will launch in the final quarter of 2022 (October-December) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
