World War Z –  Coming To Switch This November! But There’s a Catch!

World War Z is finally coming to Nintendo Switch, however sadly Switch users are not getting the most up to date version.

World War Z is a zombie shooter that is based on a movie which is based on a book, and while the film had a mixed reception, however, the videogame is excellent and has been well received by the zombie shooter fans who grew up on Left 4 Dead and killing Floor.

The original developers of WWZ are doing the Nintendo Switch port, so Saber Interactive is handling it and has not been outsourced to a different company. World War Z is available to pre-order now digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop and physically at some retailers for $39.99. A World War Z Deluxe Edition also retails for $49.99 (including on the eShop) and includes “28 unique bonus items including special character outfits, weapon skins, and variants.”

There are a couple of caveats with the Switch release of this game. One of the main issues is that we do not know if the crossplay function will work with the game’s other versions. So the player base would be limited for the Nintendo Switch players. The second issue is that customers who buy this product are not getting the latest up to date version of WWZ, which is called WWZ: Aftermath, which comes with two new locations, more weapons, a revamped melee system, and an FPS Mode on the 21st of September 2021.

So before rushing to buy World War Z, remember the above as to what is being left out, plus we do not know if the Expansion will be ever ported, as Saber has stated this was one of the most difficult ports they have ever done for the Switch
