Sony’s PlayStation Showcase revealed the sequel to Marvel’s Spiderman and Spiderman: Miles Morales, in a stunning cinematic CGI, simply titled as Marvel’s Spiderman 2.

Marvel’s Spiderman 2 will be picking up after the end of Miles Morales, and it seems we are going into the sequel against some heavy hitters. Venom (who will be voiced by Tony Todd – star of Candyman) will be finally revealed after the first game’s cliffhanger relating to a certain character.  Also, the trailer’s voice-over talks about someone looking for defeating him in combat, a worthy prey.

This can only mean that Kraven The Hunter will appear in the sequel, as he is the only one who ever hunts Spiderman in the comics. Even in Animated TV shows, he shows up from time to time to try and capture Peter Parker, since he has dubbed him as The Most Dangerous Prey.

The sequel looks to be not a solo act anymore, and it seems like that we will get to control Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the same game. Also, Pete’s Iron Spider suit will be officially canon, not just an unlockable optional skin like in the first game.

Not much else is known about the game, but we do know that the release date will be sometime in 2023. Hopefully, we will get some gameplay in the next couple of months, and some more in-depth look at the combat, to show what has changed and how it has changed.

Marvel’s Spiderman 2 will be out exclusively on PlayStation, but it is not known if it will be cross-generational or not.
