The Last Of Us’ Multiplayer Reveal Follows The Duke Nukem Mindset

Naughty Dog isn’t rushing the seemingly leaked multiplayer segment/standalone game (possibly called The Last of Us: Factions), nor its reveal.

Why the Duke Nukem mindset? 3D Realms didn’t hurry the development of Duke Nukem Forever, so they kept saying it’s going to launch “when it’s done.” We have similar feelings regarding the multiplayer portion of The Last of Us. Remember: The Last of Us Part II launched last summer without it, but Naughty Dog provided us with an update on the studio’s website.

“[…] what are you doing with The Last of Us right now? In short, we’re working on it – we see the community comments as many of you clamour for multiplayer and want updates. For now, we’ll say that we love what the team is developing and want to give them time to build out their ambitious project; we’ll reveal more when it’s ready! To that end, we’ve been busy growing our team inside the kennel since The Last of Us Part II launched and are currently in full swing of hiring for MP-related positions (hint hint), so if you or somebody you know qualifies for anything you see on our jobs page (https://www.naughtydog.com/careers), apply!”, Naughty Dog wrote. Also, Neil Druckmann shared the first image from the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us on his Twitter (Pedro Pascal = Joel, Bella Ramsey = Ellie).

The European PlayStation Gear page now sells The Last of Us Part II’s guitar’s replica, manufactured by Taylor. It’s a Model 314ce, and the price is not right: it costs 2060 GBP, nearly 2800 USD. A base Model 314ce, without the Sony attachment, costs only 1700, so you can get that for 500 dollars less! That is quite a Sony-tax you got there… and there’s also a smaller, mini guitar with Ellie’s tattoo design for 630 GBP (855 USD).

It’s not cheap!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
