Youtubers found a toy collection worth $100,000 in an abandoned house

The house would be demolished, and if not for the YouTubers, all the toys and accessories would have been lost forever. Looking for it was fun, but finding it was the real magic!

Discoveries made by YouTubers in abandoned places can have very unexpected results. So did the guys at Cheap Finds Gold Mines, who found an incredible collection of retro toys and accessories in surprisingly good condition. Among their found treasures were games like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and the chainsaw controller from Resident Evil 4.

The nearly 25-minute video shows a room full of dirt, moisture and insects that hasn’t been visited in 20 years. Aimee and Korbin, owners of the YouTube channel, have estimated the value of the entire collection of toys and accessories they found at least $100,000.

The story of the abandoned collection was later revealed. It was a woman named Stephanie who recovered the items. The house belonged to her uncle, who had lived in the property since 1965. But due to illness, he moved out in 2019.

After losing a loved one, Stephanie’s uncle started collecting things that reminded him of that person, which turned out to be video games and other accessories used by gamers. They wanted to demolish the house and all its contents, but Aimee and Korbin saved the collection in time. The treasures were divided among eight friends, each of whom took roughly $20,000 worth of goods.

This is not the first time old toys have been worth huge sums. The most expensive video game in history is an exclusive Super Mario 64, which sold for more than $1 500 000 at auction.
