Players who pre-order a copy of the new Final Fantasy will receive exclusive items!
Final Fantasy is one of the longest running franchises in gaming. Naturally, Square Enix has managed to bring us many titles that revolve around fantasy RPGs, from new games to remakes that take us back to our childhood. But Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin wants to stand out from the above by showcasing an action style of gameplay that hasn’t been seen before in the series. Something that has raised doubts in the community, which will soon be resolved with a launch in March next year and a free demo.
If you’re looking to experience a new aspect of the Final Fantasy universe, Square Enix announced at Tokyo Game Show 2021 that the game will be available on 18 March 2022. However, not wanting to make us wait any longer to try out classic Final Fantasy magic in the franchise’s unique gameplay system, it’s making the demo available to PS5 and Xbox Series users.
Square Enix is also opening up even more options for those interested in the game, launching a standard edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition, including a digital art book, a small digital soundtrack and a season pass with additional missions. In this sense, this edition will add the missions “The Dragon King’s Trials“, “The Rift Traveller“, and “DIFFERENT FUTURE” to the game. However, no further details on the availability date of the season pass have been announced.
These rewards will be available to all players who pre-order the game before launch, in addition to the “Savage Heart” and “Rebellion” weapons and the “Shining Shield” shield.
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin aims to break away from the traditional RPG that has most characterised the Final Fantasy franchise, proposing an adventure that focuses more on action and skill. As for the plot, Square Enix says the next instalment will “hit us emotionally” as we take on the roles of the warriors of light, Jack, Ash and Jed, in a dark fantasy world. Brave heroes supposedly foretold in prophecy, but… Will we really be the Warriors of Light?
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin will show us a frenetic new side of Final Fantasy from 18 March 2022 on PC via Epic Games, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox series.
