MOVIE NEWS – Filming has begun on season 3 of Mandalorian – even though Pedro Pascal is not yet on set.
The Mandalorian has become one of the most popular series of the moment. This original Disney + series is already a television event after its two successful first seasons in 2019 and 2020. Next year The Mandalorian will return with its season 3, and is that according to a new report, it would have already started filming.
Carl Weathers anticipated it over there in August. However, nothing more was known about it, and there was no confirmation from Disney, Lucasfilm or Jon Favreau. Now the situation has changed since it has been revealed that The Mandalorian season 3 would have already started production. More specifically, from last week, according to insider Bespin Bullet. His filming would have withdrawn from the Manhattan Beach studios from his already known StageCraft, where the past seasons have also been recorded.
Recall that the first season of The Mandalorian had its start of filming for similar dates but back in 2018. This means that due to filming and post-production issues, we could expect a release date between October and December 2022. However, With a schedule loaded with both Star Wars and Marvel series on Disney + in 2022, this new season may not arrive until very late 2022 and early 2023.
Pedro Pascal still would not have started recording his scenes.
Along with everything already mentioned, Bespin Bullet said that they would record in a train station in October to see some images from the set. In addition to this new Bespin Bullet announcement, the medium itself was also in charge of revealing something surprising. Pedro Pascal is not yet involved in the filming. The series’s protagonist is still working on The Last of Us and will join the production later.
It is not such a dramatic situation. Something similar happened with the first season of The Mandalorian when Pedro Pascal had other commitments, and his role on set ended up occupying two doubles. In the end, the fact that the actor reveals little of his face throughout the series benefits him to avoid filming and later add his voice in post-production. With what was seen in season two, it seemed that in this season 3 of The Mandalorian, we could see more of Din Djarin showing his face due to the repeated times he removed his mask. However, it seems that they were only specific situations for Grogu and that Djarin will continue to respect their traditions.
After the events of season two, where Din Djarin turned Grogu over to Luke Skywalker and detained Moff Gideon, the Mandalorian’s adventures continue. Now, a new challenge emerges for Din Djarin, the fight for the dark sabre.
