MOVIE NEWS – Yesterday, DC FanDome 2021 was launched, giving us a look at DC and Warner’s lineup of superhero movies and series. One of the cornerstones of the new DC Universe is Black Adam and Shazam! alongside Aquaman 2 and The Flash, so we were expecting to see some video from Black Adam, which was filmed this summer. We got it right from the start, and so far the film is looking pretty rad!
The teaser below is not very long, but it’s all the more impressive. Black Adam is, after all, one of DC’s most beloved anti-heroes, and Dwayne Johnson admits that portraying him was a personal mission, as if he was passionate about Black Adam. This anti-hero really doesn’t roll with sh*t, he’s a real vigilante who’s really pissed off about being locked away for ages, so he wants to come clean and of course fight back. And the teaser makes it clear that he’s not a typical hero, but that what director Jaumet Collet-Serra said earlier about Black Adam being a kind of Dirty Harry in the DC Universe is true.
Black Adam is scheduled to premiere on July 29, 2022, with Dwayne Johnson joined in the lead roles by Noah Centineo (Atomic Strike), Aldis Hodge (Falcon), Sarah Shahi (Adrianna Tomaz), Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone) and Pierce Brosnan (Dr. Fate), many of whom were seen in the behind-the-scenes video teaser on DC FanDome.
